I emerged from a dark room and spilled out into the writing community in 2012, founding a fiction writing group at Village Books and facilitating the group for over three years. Since that time, I've worked with more than fifty writers from the community and been a member of five unique writing groups, two of which I'm still heavily invested in. I've edited several novels to completion – genres including general and historical fiction, speculative (sci-fi and fantasy) and young adult – and numerous short stories. I've also edited two wonderful children's stories that I hope see the light of day beyond the realm of a writing group.

I specialize in developmental editing, with a focus on novel, novella, and short story writing. That said, I’m interested to learn more about your project, whatever it may be, to see if I can assist. Please visit Services below to explore available editing packages.

I chose to venture into freelance editing in 2018 to kick-start a professional career assisting writers in the community and beyond. As a fiction writer myself, I invest wholeheartedly in the development of quality story and can't wait to meet all of the brave souls who are ready to take the next step with their projects. In 2019, I co-founded an online literary journal, HamLit, as a platform to continue to develop and showcase local writing talents.

When I'm not writing or editing, you may find me at the movies (visit my film odyssey at Letterboxd), reading a book while walking across the street, or playing board games with friends and the community. My professional career highlights include operations management, administration specialization, and project leadership. I received a Communications degree from Western Washington University and Bellingham has been a home to me since 1998.
